After starting a blog and continuously learning about the world of social media, there is one thing I have grown even more passionate about: Inspire and encourage all women to know that they can reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives and that they can confidently chase their dreams with no regrets. While I am still in the middle of chasing mine, I have some advice for every woman with a dream:
When you start thinking about what your dreams are, don't limit yourself. Think about that one thing that you have always wanted to do in life, and then ask yourself what steps you need to take to get there. Do some research, and just take it one step at a time. Everyone is in their own situation, and I know there are obviously different things to take into consideration. For example, I am a mother, and I always think about my husband and daughter before I make a decision. Just make sure to let yourself consider every option before you give up on the idea. You might be surprised at how attainable your dream might be.
HAVE A SUPPORT SYSTEM
We all know the saying that "nothing worth having comes easy." When you have a dream you are passionate about, you are going to have highs and lows. That is completely normal! Anything you deeply care about is going to affect you if it doesn't always go your way or seems to be taking longer to accomplish than you would like. If you are a wife, share what you are concerned about with your husband. Make sure he knows how important your dream is to you, and he will be so much more understanding when you are venting to him about something. I have also found that social media support groups with women who have similar interests and dreams are a huge help! I have made so many friendships through blogger support groups on social media, and sometimes you just need to talk to others who are going through the same things.
Your journey is so special and different than anyone else's journey. It can be so easy to get caught up in how successful others may seem to be, but you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. You don't know how they got there and how much work it took them to get where they are. Just focus on your dream, and don't take your eyes off of it. Everyone's path is so unique, and that is what makes you so proud when you finally accomplish what you have been working so hard for every single day.
There are going to be days when you think you should just give up. That is the one voice in your head that you have to ignore. I love the idea that successful people are the ones who keep failing but never quit. That is such a big motivator for me. I like to think that every failure gets me one step closer to my dream. That is what will separate you from everyone else. No matter what happens, just keep going until you make it happen. You make your own success.
No matter what happens, always be thankful for what you have. This will be so important on the days you are struggling, and it will be even more important when you actually accomplish your dream. Always take the time to appreciate what is most important in your life and the people you have supporting you along the way. Sometimes you can get so caught up in chasing your dream, that you have to remember to keep your feet on the ground. When you finally achieve your dream, you will be so thankful for everything and everyone that got you there.
